HUMANITY CREW (HC) is a group of psychiatrists, psychologists and mental health professionals from the Galilee (Israel) who traveled to Lesbos in November 2015 in response to the Syrian crisis. Following the trip, the group established an organization dedicated to the psychosocial support of refugees and treating victims of trauma and conflict. Humanity Crew teamed up with Proactiva Open Arms, who operate rescue boats in the Aegean Sea: on board their lifeboats the operative team start psychological first aid immediately when the refugees board in mid sea.
